The Business School of Guangdong Ocean University (GBS) was established by integrating the key advantages and resources in the fields of economics and management of Guangdong Ocean University. GBS has formed a comprehensive, application-oriented and international training model for business education, and mature system for academic research. As an international business school of high standards, GBS aims to serve the economic development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, the whole China and even the world.
GBS currently offers four undergraduate programs (i.e., tourism management, business management, accounting and economics) and two postgraduate programs (i.e., MBA and MPA). Among these programs, tourism management, drawing support from the digital Research Center of Guangdong Ocean University, is a leading undergraduate program specializing in digital tourism. Along with the ACCA international program of accounting and joint business management program with internationally well-known universities, GBS has become a business school of feature in international teaching and employment.
At present, GBS has one academic research platform (i.e., the Digital Tourism Research Center of Guangdong Ocean University) and one school-enterprise practice platform (i.e., the White Swan Hotel Management School of Guangdong Ocean University). To further meet the teaching and practice needs of digital tourism, hospitality management, retailing management, marketing, human resource management, financial management and cultural industry management, GBS built a high-standard Barista Coffee Laboratory, Virtual Simulation Laboratory, Tourism Big Data Analysis and Application Laboratory, Culture and Creative Communication Laboratory, and Financial Accounting Resource Analysis and Application Laboratory.
