As a teaching and practice platform for coffee production experiment, coffee consumption service, coffee tasting evaluation and coffee training, Barista Coffee Laboratory is an important part of GBS's school-enterprise cooperation and industry-teaching integration.
Barista Coffee Laboratory supports four aspects of teaching content: the first is the teaching and practice of basic knowledge of wine & beverage, especially the basic knowledge of coffee taste & evaluation; the second is modern service etiquette and communication skills, which enable students to understand the significance and role of shaping professional image, and master social etiquette and social communication skills; the third is catering operation and management, which enables students to systematically master the basic knowledge of catering service and operation management, and understand related theories and practices of catering service organization; the fourth is theories and practices of beverage business management, which enable students to master the basic procedures, skills and basic management and operation methods of wine & beverage service, and to master the practical operation ability through a large number of case analysis, discussion, observation, demonstration and practice.
Through the effective combination of coffee production experiment, coffee service and catering operation and management practice, Barista Coffee Laboratory facilitates the integration of teaching and practice with regard to tourism management, accounting, business management and other programs at GBS, and the construction of a talent cultivation model integrating degree education, certificate training, and practice.
