The Tourism Big Data Analysis and Application Laboratory is an important component of the Digital Tourism Research Center of Guangdong Ocean University, and it provides a comprehensive and interdisciplinary research and practice place for all students of GBS. The laboratory is equipped with advanced big data ID collectors, full-system hotspot equipment, big data acquisition software, and AI analysis software. Moreover, the laboratory is able to collect mobile big data for tourism, and integrate multi-source data from third-party big data platforms, such as communication operators, Alibaba and Tencent.
The laboratory enables faculty members and students to conduct mobile data collection in line with the design of hands-on projects, and provides faculty members and students with a research and practical teaching venue based on the real environment. After collecting data, faculty members and students can integrate the collected data with other multi-source data from third-party platforms (e.g., operators, Tencent and Alibaba) and use AI-based big data analysis software for data analysis.
Significantly, the laboratory is equipped with mobile big data collection equipment. As a result, it becomes flexible to choose big data collection locations, plan big data collection route and arrange big data collection time for researchers. Besides, they can integrate the collected data with other multi-source data sources during the collection process.
